Our Building & Brickwork Services

Garden Walls & Boundary Walls

A tall red brick boundary wall enclosing a newly levelled garden.

A well-built garden wall can define your boundary, provide privacy and bring a more finished appearance to the outside of your home.

We build new garden and boundary walls, as well as repairing or rebuilding existing walls. Depending on your project, we can discuss the height, layout, choice of brick and finishing details such as coping stones or pier caps.

If you’re replacing an existing wall, we’ll assess its condition and explain what work is needed before providing a quotation.

Gate Piers & Entrance Brickwork

Brick gate piers can create a defined entrance to your driveway or garden and provide support for suitable gates.

We carry out brickwork for new entrances and improvements to existing ones, considering the opening, appearance and how the brickwork will work with your chosen gate. Where practical, we can help you select materials that complement the surrounding property.

From a single wall to brickwork for a new home, we take on building projects of all sizes. Whether your job is straightforward or more involved, we bring the same care, attention and pride in our workmanship.

We’ll discuss your plans, the materials and finish you want, and what’s needed to complete the work. If your brickwork forms part of a wider project, we’ll talk through how it fits into the build.

Brickwork Repairs & Rebuilding

After

Cracked joints, damaged bricks and loose sections of wall can have different causes. We’ll look at the affected area and discuss whether a local repair or more substantial rebuilding is appropriate.

Where matching materials are available, we aim to make repairs sit comfortably alongside the existing brickwork. We’ll be straightforward about the finish that can realistically be achieved.

Brick & Stone Repointing

Mortar joints weather over time. Where mortar has deteriorated, repointing involves removing defective material and replacing it with a suitable mortar for the existing construction.

We undertake repointing for brick and stone walls, considering the condition of the masonry, the type of property and the joint finish. Older masonry needs particular care when choosing materials; we’ll discuss the requirements of your wall before recommending an approach.

The builders were punctual. Did a great job in cleaning and rebuilding my garden wall. They left the area spotless and the price was very good.

Building & Brickwork Questions

Can you repair a garden wall rather than replace it?

Sometimes a local repair is suitable, but this depends on the condition of the wall and the cause of the damage. Loose brickwork, movement or problems with the foundations may require a different approach. We’ll assess the wall and explain the options.

Can you match my existing bricks?

We can look for bricks that complement the existing work, but an exact match isn’t always available. The age, weathering and availability of the original bricks can affect the result. Mortar colour and joint style also influence how the finished work looks.

How much will the work cost?

The cost depends on the size and condition of the project, materials, access, preparation and whether existing brickwork needs removing. Photographs can help us understand the enquiry, but a site visit may be needed to prepare an accurate quotation.

Do garden walls need planning permission?

Some walls and gates require permission depending on their height, position and the property. Listed buildings and other restrictions can also affect what is allowed. Any relevant permissions should be checked with the local planning authority before work starts.

Which areas do you cover?

We’re based in Morecambe and carry out building and brickwork projects across Morecambe, Lancaster, Heysham and the surrounding areas. If you’re further afield, get in touch to check availability for your location.
